This bar chart is titled "Typical native and nonnative plants and their reproductive value to butterflies and moths." The vertical Y-axis represents the "Number of species of butterflies and moths that will lay eggs on this plant," with grid lines marking increments of 50 up to 250. The horizontal X-axis lists individual plant names. The data is visually separated into two distinct categories: native plants represented by tall green bars on the left, and nonnative plants represented by very short red bars on the right.

Walking through the data from left to right, the native plants show high reproductive value. The Oak tree is the significant leader, with a bar extending above the 250 mark (likely around 275). It is followed by the Holly-leaf cherry, which supports just under 250 species. The next cluster of plants supports between 100 and 150 species, including Currant (approx. 125), California lilac (approx. 115), and Maple (approx. 115). Below the 100 mark, California rose supports roughly 95 species, followed by Lupine at roughly 75, Manzanita at roughly 70, and California sage at roughly 65. The native section concludes with Goldenrod (approx. 55), Oceanspray (approx. 40), and finally CA Honeysuckle and Penstemon, which both support roughly 30 species.

The chart then shifts to the nonnative plants (red bars), where there is a dramatic drop-off in value. Acacia is the highest in this group but supports fewer than 10 species. The numbers dwindle further with Cotoneaster, Eucalyptus, Forget-me-not, Fennel, and Impatiens all appearing to support roughly 5 species or fewer. The remaining plants—Tree of heaven, Ivy, Agapanthus, Iceplant, Periwinkle, Redhot poker, Tea tree, Crape myrtle, Gingko, Med. Grass, and Sweet alyssum—have barely visible bars, indicating they support near-zero species (likely 1 or 2). Text on the chart notes that it was created by the Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour using data by Douglas Tallamy.

The article extensively references far right MAGA boosters DHS and the Heritage Foundation. There is a relatively brief critique provided by “immigration law professor” Annie Lai. FYI, Lai is an Associate Dean in fact.

The article then describes “training” by only referencing what the DHS says, a known repeated liar.

Little-used ICE agreements with local police have exploded under Trump — NPR Partnerships between ICE and local law enforcement agencies has expanded widely, under the second Trump administration, data analyzed by NPR shows.

Also, it is apparently “…unclear what arrests, detentions or deportations can be credited to this program.” This program does not get “credit” for increasing violent takedowns.

NPR characterizes the 287(g) program - partnerships between ICE and local law enforcement - as “underused” until Trump, and criticizes instead its effectiveness. We don’t need NPR publishing enabling language normalizing violent paramilitary expansion. #NPR #Fascism #Media #Journalism

The acting director of ICE told Congress, under oath, that local law enforcement in Colorado leaked raid plans, allowing gang members to escape.

After 9NEWS questioned ICE's claim and its timeline, ICE deleted the claim from its social media platforms.

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

this is comically evil. brazenly anti-social. just absolute black-pilled nihilism. we will not have a republic, we will not be free, until we regulate these companies to the point where — at a bare minimum — they're too afraid to put stuff like this down on paper.

We don’t need more “training” for ICE. They are already very good at abducting people. Ban ICE across Sonoma County, and take down compromised mass surveillance cameras too. SRPD should specifically commit to arresting federal agents who break laws.
