At LONG LAST I have finally read this book and also read this analysis and both are phenomenal. I have god’s worst book hangover. Regency romance heroine who’s a sex worker and murders a man in cold blood on the page? Transcendent.

This reminds me of the time I was doing events in NYC when there was an accidental case (40lbs!) of sweet potatoes delivered and they were GOING TO TOSS IT so I brought it home. I literally gave out sweet potatoes as party favors for months.

I know I, as a nonbinary person, do not owe the world androgyny, but I wanna be androgynous so badly. I want no one to be able to tell what I am. I want conservatives to wrinkle their noses when they see me and say, in Westley's voice, "Dear God, what is that thing?"
