A close-up of a Tufted Titmouse with his/her tuft blowing in the wind. I love their black eyelashes. The thin black feathers around the break are rictal bristles, which are common in many birds but their size and placement differs between species.

Usually the Great Egrets like to fish further out, but this one landed on the railing before choosing a spot to fish next to the boardwalk.

Some phrases are so well-known, you don't need to say the whole thing to be understood.

E.g., you can say "birds of a feather" without saying "flock together."
