Part of this is definitely on cishet people who are in the same political spaces as queer people, and for whom wins like this don’t matter, because they’re in social groups where queer acceptance is commonplace, so these kind of wins seem meaningless.

I think it is partially on Biden for marketing badly that this list has a lot of things lost queer people don’t know about - but also queer political culture right now is very pessimistic and doomer-focused. I think we could really stand to celebrate our wins more.

From a propaganda standpoint, they're spreading incredible amounts of disinfo that spreads to the broader electorate.

Job growth in the supposedly terrible Biden economy of 2023-24 averaged 192k per month. With 2021-22 it's even higher.

In the supposedly great pre-COVID Trump economy of 2/17-2/20, it averaged 181k.

Now one month of 130k is praised as strong growth, because standards are lower for one special boy.
