If Platner had served 5 years in the state legislature I might legitimately find some of this stuff a lot more forgivable. He's a new man, he's a public servant, we've seen him in action. But because he didn't it's just "Trust me, I didn't mean it, and you're silly for caring." No, I don't trust you
