Next up from @animationisfilm.bsky.social is the annual early look at the new Walt Disney Animation Studios film, this time the highly anticipated #Zootopia2. The original was one of my favorites, and we got to see a ton of the new movie. Check out my thoughts on this production.

#OnePunchMan was the biggest anime a decade ago, but in the ten years since, the most exciting things to come out of it have been the paths of its team working on other projects, rather than future seasons of the series itself. Check out my retrospective.

I interviewed the director and producer of #takopisoriginalsin at @animenyc.bsky.social. Time for each outlet was limited and I had to submit my questions halfway through the series, so I didn't ask much about its plot, themes, or philosophy, but better than nothing!

It's a packed summer season, with already-completed masterpiece #TakopisOriginalSin, seasonally-appropriate #thesummerhikarudied, new seasons of #Dandadan and #grandblue, and a couple of the greatest episodes of #ONEPIECE of all time. Plus news, recommendations, etc.

Episode 157

Somehow, #AnimeExpo returned. Is it Hideaki Anno's fault? It doesn't have "Shin" in the title, so probably not. What do these topics have to do with each other? Probably nothing. It's just a big old news episode complemented by plenty of AX anecdotes and hot takes.

#Pantyandstocking is back after a decade and a half, and there could be nothing more off the rails than Trigger getting a massive venue to show off the questionable return of their self-proclaimed "piece of garbage." It's the most Trigger experience.

One more @crunchyroll.com panel at #AnimeExpo, specifically THE Crunchyroll panel. While less exciting than their series-focused offerings, it did provide some major news, including a Bones adaptation of a new Hiromu Arakawa manga, plus other welcome updates.

@crunchyroll.com brought Yuki Aoi and Seto Asami to #AnimeExpo to relive key moments from throughout the second season of #TheApothecaryDiaries, along with some earlier iconic scenes and discussions of their characters' unique facets and relationship.

The @crunchyroll.com #frieren panel was the highlight of #AnimeExpo2025 for me, featuring the phenomenal composer Evan Call, Stark seiyuu Chiaki Kobayashi, and Madhouse producer Yuichiro Fukushi, plus the world premiere of its new trailer and staff reveal!

Just as the second season of #Dandadan is underway, I got to talk to its director Fuga Yamashiro at #AnimeExpo2025 thanks to @gkids.com.

As expected from the dynamism of his work and the insight he shared in the theatrical releases, he has a ton to say!
