I'm pretty sure that where I live 90% of the time that's on purpose so nobody is near their baby. It would make me mad if the parking fields weren't all multi acre and severely underused. People are okay at street parking but they complain about it to a degree i can't believe, being from Brooklyn.

I'm 100% not mad at any of them I just am like the guy who hadn't got a strong opinion about cilantro or something when they come up. Star Wars is like Bob Dylan to me. I have no idea what there is to get worked up about after all this time.

I saw the original 3 in theatres when I was little & did not think much about them until I had my own children and then two things happened. One is my kids never really came to care much about them and the other is the few new ones we saw seemed exactly the same as the originals just minus novelty.

I think I'm smoking this year so I'm probably dunking it. Buckets were great for brewing back in the day.

Turkey is good. There are a very limited number of times during the year that I need a 15+ pound piece of animal protein on the table. That's all it is.

I have a neighbor w/a huge family; she's got turkeys for every holiday just ready to go in the freezer chest. I think part of why anyone eats it from January thru October is that they're basically free for two months and if you have a freezer it makes sense.

Lynn, that's if you even have to pay. Most chain supermarkets do giveaways; ours tracks spending & I think $400 Sept-Thanksgiving gets you a free 15-20# turkey & another $200 by Christmas and you get a turkey or a ham. I'm roasting 15# turkey I got discounted to 25¢/lb at Aldi last December & froze.

I've fried twice. They're absolutely fine and incredibly fast. If you're not going to filter and reuse the oil that part does feel wasteful for sure but financially it's counterbalanced by the fact that it's difficult not to get a free 20 pound turkey in Nov. Even paying, there're like 29¢/lb here.

I think I come at this film from a very different direction.

Look I will be honest it's not too difficult to roast a turkey well & have it be enjoyable...but it is far easier to not lecture people who are understandably disinterested in rolling the dice on a fifteen pound animal protein centerpiece (that can go wrong!) about their choice being a skill issue.
