Reasoning to Learn from Latent Thoughts ArXiv link for Reasoning to Learn from Latent Thoughts

Stanford researchers unveil a method for training language models using latent thoughts behind text, boosting data efficiency and performance in constrained settings. By applying synthetic reasoning, the model self-improves iteratively, enabling smarter AI learning. https://arxiv.org/abs/2503.18866

My guess has been they’ll let him fire whoever he wants at agencies (except the Fed) and give him his tariffs (they’ll frame it as about exec authority over foreign policy). But, I think they’ll rule against him on all things impoundment. You give him all 3 and there is no need for Congress anymore

America needs to take open models more seriously. Just this summer the early lead in open model adoption of Llama & co has been overtaken by Chinese models.

With The American Truly Open Models (ATOM) Project we're looking to build support and express the urgency of this issue.

I think the main concern is the Trump admin will not spend what is appropriated regardless.

Maybe take off the MAGA part? β€œMurder Budget” may be cleaner. Either way, a great message. Well done and great idea.

Not coincidentally, he’s been in academia and published research for decades. This is how most CS researchers would speak about AI.

How a Canadian scientist and a venomous lizard helped pave the way for Ozempic - National | Globalnews.ca In 1984, Dr. Daniel Drucker, an endocrinologist from the University of Toronto, discovered a hormone that helped pave the way for popular diabetes drugs such as Ozempic.

This is the most relevant article to NIH and research cuts I’ve seen.

Imagine if this was today , how many people would be saying β€œWhy are we studying Gila Monsters and their impact on diabetes ? That’s wasted money !”

Incredibly moving Justin Trudeau remarks:

"We have fought and died alongside you....During your darkest hours...we were always there. Standing with you, grieving with you, the American people....Canadians are a little perplexed as to why our closest friends and neighbors are choosing to target us."

What's happened to X proves the need for Bluesky. The future company is a possible adversary. We make decisions knowing that we won't always be here or won't always be able to control the company's decisions. It's why we've given you the freedom of exit to go elsewhere w your followers and data.
