In my quest to read books that have been on my shelf for ages, I'm finally reading the copy of A Great and Terrible Beauty that I got from a Little Free Library. I love The Diviners series and Under the Same Stars (Beauty Queens was just ok), so it's fun to finally read Libba Bray's debut.

I've been following a bunch of the same friends since 2001/2002.

r/hockey is writing a lot of fanfic today.

Not to my knowledge, but there's nothing at all about his personal life on Wikipedia.

They're close friends and neighbors and have gone to awards shows together, and since AS has said he's been with men, I like to fantasize.

I laughed at the McElroy Family Clubhouse bit when the guitar-covered Firehouse Subs mural was revealed to be in Waukesha, but today I'm IN Waukesha and they are EXTREMELY proud of being the birthplace of Les Paul. I was not familiar with their guitar vibe!

History of Sound was very very good. The only real misstep for me is that Paul Mescal is not nearly a good enough singer to be what the story presents his character to be. But he's great otherwise.

I had a nice afternoon reading in the woods, but now I'm consumed by worry and guilt for various reasons and I'm not sure the sad movie I'm going to watch tonight will help.
