Fucking hell Labour. Good care workers are skilled and experienced, and it's a *vocation*. With 131,000 vacancies in the care sector, your answer to this is to remove any chance of hiring skills from abroad, and then what? Force people into care? With the inevitable uplift in elder abuse?

Both my Grandmothers were immigrants, most of my Mum Friends are immigrants, one of my best friends right now is an immigrant, I promise you I feel far less estranged from these wonderful people than I do the sort of person, born on the same island as me, who hates them bc Not Born On Island.

I am really saddened by the level of vitriol and hatred being directed toward the trans community.

We are losing our common humanity. How hard is it to treat people with kindness and respect?
