Over a couple of years, back on Twitter, I put together a huge thread of photos of writers’ desks, but I missed this one.

What's the difference between freezing rain and sleet? They're both ice in the end, but how they form is different. Sleet is more like ice pellets, or sprinkles on a donut. While they can create slick travel, they don't really cause power issues. Freezing rain on the other hand is the worst. It's a glaze. It clings to everything, causing weight on power lines and trees. Your temp MUST be below 32 degrees for freezing rain. You can't have it at 33, 34, etc.

This is a very scary thread, but now that everything's all right, I think it's everyone's duty to convince this person they never actually woke up.
