I think of Tormato as 'one of their new ones'.

Imagine the jingle for that name.

I was always amused to find that his name was nothing like Tommy Vance and that he actually took that name when he took on a DJ job in the USA and had to fill in for a person by the same name who had turned the job down.

Tommy Vance once played part of this on The Friday Rock Show on Radio One and introduced it as 'Syphilis'. (He also once introduced a session by Pallas as being by 'Phallus')

Bear in mind that she was Marina Elizabeth Catherine Dudley-Williams and was only called Hyde so her name would fit on the page.

'Strange Mannish Lady' might be an album title....

So Tom Hanks isn't even the Tom Hanks of his era.

And Hyde sounds like she's fuelled by privilege and cocaine.

Weak oppositions always lead to weak governments who are not held in check by anyone or anything. Both Labour and the Tories are letting Reform write their manifesto for them. I wish they would stop this.

The town where I grew up used to have four butchers in it. Now it has none. It also only has one fish shop - as opposed to three - and two grocers when it once had five. (And one of them is rubbish)

It does, however, have a large number of empty premises and charity shops.

Of course it is. It's also hard to see any way back from it. This change is relentless and probably irreversible. The best we can do is deal with it.
