I mean that's pretty true, and our left isn't very left and actually could be considered right but even then looking at the political landscape of the EU and other countries it's pretty much the same. Authoritarians of all flavors but authoritarians none the less.

But that's not it, both sides only care for thier "acceptable" people. Just look how quickly the left turned on trans peeps once thier support of them risked their power. It doesn't matter who wears the boot, the boot is the problem.

But the left doesn't, it gives lip service to fighting for the workers but betrays them all the same. Every president we've had has worked for the capital class, just one is more blatant about it. Even FDR only did what he did at the threat of the end of the States power over it's people.

The State isn't the only entity shooting at civilians but even if that were the case why wouldn't you want people to have the ability to protect themselves?

As a city of the first class it is prohibited to open or concealed carry in Philly without a LTCF but recently that has been challenged in the courts. Honestly open carry is legal everywhere else in the state and the prohibition was/is rooted in racism so should be overturned.

I mean I wouldn't march waving my firearms around but I do carry when I attend protests since community and self defense are the reasons I carry. I don't see any issue open carrying at protests, these authoritarians should know that marginalized communities are not soft targets.
