it's time for journos to start asking Johnson meta questions

One Halloween I dressed up as the GOP's Healthcare plan.

I want there to be consequences for lying and I want a government that doesn't lie and I feel like that is not too much to ask.

My wokest take is that everybody deserves to eat.

Not for nothing but it seems wild in a country so full of wealth and opportunity that ~10% of the population is relying on government assistance just to eat. Seems like a bad system.

I'm no authority on Hell, but if it does exist, people denying hungry people food and those celebrating those who do are a shoo-in.

The Walton family (who own Walmart) are worth over $400 billion, yet many of their employees are on SNAP.

Bezos is worth over $400 billion, many Amazon employees require SNAP.

The people who need help are not the problem.

It’s corporate greed. It’s an unwillingness to pay a living wage.

I’ll never get over white men refusing to vote for Democrats because they’re too feminine, so instead they elected the whiniest baby in the world president.

Let me get this straight: Trump found tens of billions of dollars to give to Argentina for a bailout during our government shutdown, but he couldn't find funding to keep SNAP program benefits going for 42 million hungry Americans past this Friday?

It isn't complicated.

kinda unrelated, but if education was free, we wouldn’t feel restricted to study what “earns well”, it would allow study “as a hobby” not just a means to an end. Retirees could go to uni. Surely we as a society value education for its own sake?

A big sign of what's broken about our media is that there are people in top positions who act like free buses, rent controls, universal health care. and police reform are radical, untested policies.

No one in the United States should go hungry. I don't care if they are working or not. If a person is hungry, you give them food, full stop
