A new hotel is being built next to ours (we knew when booking last minute) & whilst in itself not a problem at all, the lack of hard hats and indeed T-shirts/protective clothing is alarming especially in such heat

Kids schools did practise expeditions miles away (£££),local comp did it on school field.Friends daughter spent a total of £15.We had all the equipment & still cost hundreds.Appreciate this part is more a reflection of their schools than actual DoE scheme. (Still have grammar schools here)

I’ve paid £££ into that for W&L. W did everything for bronze & then final expedition cancelled due to Covid. L same & final expedition cancelled due to staff illness 🤯
I’m sure all the volunteering etc has made them better people ofc 😬

And with the freedom of flexi working, cheaper holidays, respect from clients and so on. Yes the job has huge amounts of satisfaction but it’s not even slightly comparable to other professions with similar level of qualifications needed.

Watched the first two. First one I thought too spurious with clues & red herrings making it tricky to ‘play along’ which is surely a huge part of the format. Second one I guessed easily 🤷‍♀️

I’d definitely try a few classes, are they instructor in person or videos etc?
