For reasons that were never made clear to me my friends began referring to me as "The Paul" but only when talking *about* me, never to me. The first I heard of this was when a loose acquaintance once saw me out and about and shouted "ooo, the Paul!" Ala Toy Story.

It can vary based on the theme. Check the theme's settings, sometimes there will be an area for css overrides in there. Otherwise, appearance > customize > additional css.
From there it's just:
{Background-color: #000000;
Font-color: #fefefe;} or some such.

This thread is fantastic. As a lapsed gamer just now trying to come back to it, it really resonated with me. Did you ever play Sierra's Space Quest games? The absurdist humor and sci-fi setting put it a notch above King's Quest for me.

I struggled with this for a long while. Eventually I came to realize that working a job you love is a luxury not everyone can afford. Rather than expecting my job to fulfill me I listened to my heart and started taking art classes. It had an immediate and major impact on my mental well-being.
