Nice argument. Unfortunately I have already depicted myself as the cunty and demure oryx and you as the ominous and scheming damascus goat

Like the rest of the franchise, Metroid Prime 4 is a perfect ‘have an edible and spend a couple of hours vibing and exploring”

if not for these dang NPCs calling me all the time!!! Shut up!!! Who asked for this!!!

You should be able to get rich being silly online instead of being evil online, that would solve a lot of problems

i think it's useful to look at areas where the *tech* has gotten much better while tech *interactions* have gotten way worse. streaming has gotten worse, google search has gotten worse, digital cameras are leaps better. apple's silicone is so good it's threatening their user upgrade cycle

One of the most bizarre writer trends I’ve come across on BlueSky. Whatever happened to a decent one line pitch! Why are you a Spotify Discover page regurgitating tags at me

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.

Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

I think what I’m finding is so fun is the chance to revisit characters that very unanimously do not make it out of this manuscript alive— it’s like hello my babies I’ve missed you here’s some more page time before the horrors happen

Credit card fraud
Black neon tetras committed credit card fraud during a 2023 livestream by "Mutekimaru Channel" on YouTube. The owner was using motion-tracking software to turn the fish's movements into Nintendo Switch inputs, letting them "play" video games. 8 In 2020, the fish beat Pokemon Sapphire after 3,195 hours, a feat that takes about 30 hours for a typical human. 9/ 181 On January 14, 2023, Pokémon Violet crashed at 1,144 hours, giving the fish free access to the main menu. They entered inputs that opened Nintendo eShop, added 500 yen ($3.85 USD) to their owner's account, and exposed his credit card details on the livestream. 10) 11) Mutekimaru later requested a refund of the 500 yen from Nintendo. l12)
"Fish eagerly read the terms and conditions. Many of us humans don't read the terms of service, but fish are smarter than we are"
- caption from Mutekimaru in a video about the incident 12)
The fish also downloaded an N64 emulator, set up PayPal, used reward points to buy an avatar, and changed Mutekimaru's Nintendo account name to
"ROWAWAWA*". 13, After about seven hours, their movements shut down the Switch. 14)

I’m all for this. I’ve been BEGGING for something like this. Waited for Criterion to expand outside of the US and they never did.

I was dreading the editing stage of the manuscript but I’m actually having a lot of fun? Another pleasant surprise in the writing journey.

It’s still (relatively) early days, but more and more I realise the conventional wisdom out there is heaped in neurosis and mythicising the suffering and slog

When Tommy Robinson is celebrating your policies it is time to take a long hard look in the mirror and then quit politics forever.
