🤸‍♀ This completely free multi-day event gives families a chance to take part in a range of activities during the holidays.

🐍 From holding snakes to boxing to rock-climbing, it was great to spend some time there this year.

Government confirms Dr Mary-Ann Stephenson as the next EHRC chair Minister for Women and Equalities Bridget Phillipson has confirmed that Dr Mary-Ann Stephenson will be appointed as the new Chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC).

Mary-Ann Stephenson is an excellent choice by this govt to chair the EHRC. She will bring a wealth of experience to the role.

I had the pleasure of working with her and the Women’s Budget Group. She understands race, sex and disability and how they intersect.

Good to hold the latest Disability APPG meeting & I was thankful to have Minister for Social Security Stephen Timms with us to answer pressing questions on the next steps for social security reform.

🇫🇷 🇬🇧 I was honoured to attend President Macron's address to Parliament during his state visit.

As the world remains volatile, strengthening our relationship with our European partners is vital. We must work together to create a peaceful, prosperous future underpinned by our shared values.

The Govt has said Israel must end this War but Israel is not listening.

So what should the Govt do now?

Gaza health ministry says 33 people dead from malnutrition in last 48 hours New figures from the Hamas-run ministry include 12 children who have died, as the UN says Israel must allow aid into Gaza.

The situation is intolerable, yet we are tolerating it every day.

We need action - including an arms sales ban, a ban on goods produced in the West Bank, a suspension of trade negotiations & #Palestine recognition.

🏘 🏗 The Govt's bold & ambitious plan for housing will ensure that more people have a safe, affordable & secure place to live.

We must, however, make sure these homes are accessible so that everyone has the chance to benefit. My question 👇

I strongly urge the Met to reconsider the decision to close the front counter at Lavender Hill so that my constituents will safe. I will be monitoring this issue extremely closely.

While the Met will be re-focusing on video appointment provision, this cannot replace face to face interactions particularly when we still need assurances that these tools will be accessible to all members of the public.

It is simply not right that at a time when our police need more resources to tackle serious crimes, that support is being taken away.

Without this, Battersea residents will feel less safe. Just recently, the Met Commissioner for London gave a stark warning that further cuts may mean ‘some crimes must be ignored.’

residents will be without a single public access point for local police. This is unacceptable. Front counters provide a stable presence and allow the public to report a crime in person, giving people trust and confidence that the police will be there when they need them.
