It’s World Tuberculosis Day! The fight against TB is a cause very close to my heart. As a TB researcher, strategising ways to increase TB literacy is a constant and necessary part of the work I do. In commemoration of this important day, I called for submissions from undergraduate and postgraduate students, asking them to share what they know about TB and why it remains one of the world’s leading infectious killers. The responses were truly thought-provoking, reflecting both depth and curiosity. However, as with every competition, there must be winners. Today, we proudly recognise the outstanding work of these three participants (see poster above) and will explore ways to have their contributions recognised by relevant global TB organisations. A huge shout-out to all the TB researchers working tirelessly to address the critical issues around TB drug resistance. Your dedication is invaluable in the fight to end this disease. Let’s continue raising awareness, supporting research, and taking meaningful steps toward a TB-free world. #EndTB
