So your story is that a person who earned an f-ton of money saved up an f-ton of money? Give her a metal! πŸ™„

It’s truly scary living in a world that is rushing to undo any advancements we’ve made in terms of metal health and is essentially trying to gaslight us neurodivergents into thinking our lived experiences and struggles are made up. I went through decades of this with fibromyalgia too.

Very impressive! I like your attention to perfectionism.

I so very much wish I could, but unfortunately I do not have those funds. It’s fabulous though, and I hope you sell out!!

This is, hands down, the best comment I’ve heard on the subject! πŸ˜‚

So, even if he did pass this screening (which I highly doubt) it doesn’t mean he’s dementia-free. Every time he brags about it all I can think about is how we now have to explain things to my mom like she’s a little child, and even then she doesn’t always understand.

β€œPassing” the 15 min screening, which is the test he’s always talking about, doesn’t even rule out dementia. My mom passed it easily and the doctor was even impressed with her clock drawing. Yet, the full 4-5 hour dementia test proved what we suspected, that she does in fact have dementia.

She may truly like what she sees.

I love Penzeys!! I’ve been exclusively buying their seasonings for years and I always enjoy the owner’s email rants and the company’s clever ways to call out what this administration is doing. And I especially love that they donate to so many good causes! The revolution seasoning is quite tasty too.

I should also add that the heating pad sounds like you probably have chronic pain or something not fun that you’re dealing with, which I’m really sorry to hear. And also fully understand and can relate to.

I’m also ADHD by the way, and I would have likely spent the next several hours researching if the leak was common. Then I’d follow it up by researching newer models, completely forgetting that I had been in the middle of working before the whole wet leg incident derailed me in the first place.

I love hearing this!! I published a small niche magazine for 13 years, along with editing it and periodically contributing to it myself, all of which was mostly done from my bed. Maybe my work space wasn’t as uncommon as I thought!

Does this also mean that your work is being done from your bed?

Not to mention that they talk to you about what’s going to happen, not to move said body part being scanned, and how long the process is. Also, people that aren’t cognitively challenged would ask what the MRI was for if they weren’t being told; they wouldn’t just go along with it blindly.

Yep! Like how is it still in the 70’s here and it’s now December?! I want our lovely crisp, sweater-wearing Tucson winters back. It’s just getting hotter and hotter every year here.

Watching this happen on a national scale, and now by our own government, has been absolutely infuriating!

I began educating myself on vaccine safety after that and every time my son got his next set of vaccines, I felt a secret sense of pride that I didn’t get suckered in by that anti-vax quackery. To this day I still wonder how many people listened to that chiropractor.

When I was a brand new mom, a little over 20 years ago, a chiropractor here in AZ accused me of harming my son when I had him vaccinated and he made me take a book home about the dangers of them. Before that day I had never heard of anti-vaxxers so it took me a bit to process what had just happened.

This is the title of your thesis? Did the topic of rodents play a part in your choosing this subject?

You have me kind of curious what Robert O’Brien’s thoughts would be about AI and where it’s taking us (no where good in my opinion).

Do his books tie into one another or are they all standalone?

I personally found the movie traumatizing as a child due to the animal testing. If that part was true to the book and it was his goal to show kids the cruelty in it, then it worked, because I’d bet that it had a subconscious impact on my becoming a vegetarian and buying only cruelty-free products.

Fascinating! I named my rescue packrat after the movie version of Mrs. Frisby, which you probably already know was changed to Mrs. Brisby due to copyright of the toy name. I’ve even written a very short review of the movie before, but I didn’t know much about the author or the other books.

That’s awesome, congrats! What’s your thesis about?

You’re not wrong. Although I do think he’s getting help from his family behind the scenes.

It really is utterly depressing. You have to become a parent to your own parent and you end up missing and grieving a person who is actually still alive 😞 Besides my husband, my brother and his wife also help with her care, so there is support. Thank you so much for your kind words!

Thank you! It’s been an emotional rollercoaster to go through.

Out of safety, my mom can no longer drive, manage her own money, or even live alone, yet the entire world is pretending a man with the same condition is somehow capable of running our country. Then to make it even worse, they placate him and give into all of his hateful and erratic whims.

26.11.2025 19:35 β€” πŸ‘ 16    πŸ” 2    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I fully agree!! Like, you can’t unsee the dementia once you personally experience the symptoms with a loved one. I don’t think he was ever a truly intelligent man, but you’re right, what we’re witnessing now is not stupidity, it’s dementia pure and simple.
