"The World's Greatest Sinner" is a deliriously dumb fucking movie but it feels like it meets our deliriously dumb fucking moment where it is in a way "A Face in the Crowd" doesn't quite. It's so dumb and I can feel every major Nicholas Cage role squirming around inside of it.

Here's one thing though-- unlike "We're All Going to the World's Fair" which was just about dicking around online this one is ALL Paris Exposition baby. It promises a long time at the fair and it gives you a long time at the damn FAIR.

of all the mid-20th century "british gaslighting" movies I think "So Long at the Fair" is one of the best. Jean Simmons just goes for it, although like a lot of these movies it sort of putters out once questions start being answered.
