Yay!

I somehow injured my knee in my sleep last night. Although I think the most ridiculous one (so far) is the time I sprained my ankle while sitting on the toilet.

You gotta be careful with bacon. It’s sneaky like that.

If I learned one thing from years of watching Law & Order, it’s that NDAs can’t be used to prevent you from reporting crimes.

He’s 79. Why would he care about the long term?

How, exactly, is this jobless society supposed to work? Does everyone get UBI? Will necessities like food and shelter be free to all? Or are we all supposed to just die off, leaving the AI to run forever?

The only thing more on the nose would be showing up to a costume party dressed as Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.

I made Shakshuka for dinner tonight. It was, to quote Chef John, off the hookah.

Heck yeah! I have Crohn’s, and as of three years ago, a colostomy. The hospital dietitian recommended Flintstones as being the most complete chewable. And who couldn’t use a little dose of whimsy in their day?

I cap off my morning meds with a chewable vitamin. A fruity dessert pill, if you will.

I have credit cards through two different banks. Both have banners on their websites that ask people who are struggling because of the shutdown to contact them. I doubt they’re handing out money, but hope they’re waving interest and holding off reporting to the credit bureaus.

Also, I’m not sure I could fit them all in my mouth at once, let alone swallow them.

Nah. One at a time all the way. If I’m going to swallow that much money every day, I’m going to savor the experience.

I brought my mother to a session at my therapist’s suggestion. She spent the whole appointment coddling Mom. I was really upset at first, until I realized she was basically trying to butter her up to convince her to participate. We left, and Mom said “I’ve never been so attacked in my life!”

That’s my take on the situation. The news has been breathlessly reporting on this for months, and Braun has been hesitant to commit. I think he either thinks it won’t pass, or they can’t figure out how to squeeze out a couple more house seats without breaking something else.

More like the insane clown posse searched until they found someone morally bankrupt enough to be their frontman. The fact that he’s also dumb as a post, with an ego as big as his intellect is small, has been a huge bonus.

Social media gives you a whole bunch of people saying the same things over and over. Way more entertaining than watching a talking head say the same things over and over for an hour, until the next talking head comes on to rehash what the last guy just said.

I wonder how many of us are three hops from the genius in chief.

I know someone who was working to get more solar energy in her rural county. One of her neighbors was upset because the solar panels would suck up all the sunlight and kill her plants.

Just had our second batch of trick-or-treaters. One kid, maybe 10 or so, was dressed as Trump. He had a whole patter. He asked me if I paid my bills. I said no. He said, “Me neither!” Then he informed me he would be 80 next year. Out here doing his part to educate his mostly conservative neighbors.

Do you have sensitive skin in general? As a teen I really struggled, because every deo I tried gave me a rash after using it for a while. As an adult, things settled down, and I’ve used the same thing for years. Then I hit menopause, and BOOM! Itchy pits again. I’d pay $$ for something that worked

I grew up with lots of aunts and uncles who were just family friends. Uncle Ray was the quiet guy who showed up at my grandmother’s house for every holiday meal. My boomer parents did it. I’m Aunt Becky to my bff’s kids. Don’t let them fool you. It’s common as dirt in white xtian families too.

MIL lives 40 minutes away. Husband was only gone for 20 minutes. She was either tipped off that he was going out, or she was lurking nearby, waiting for her chance. Either way, she’s had the formula and bottle on hand for just such an opportunity.
