Whenever I hear people talk about this it makes me think theyβve had precisely zero actual exposure to or involvement with the labour movement.

26.02.2026 17:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I genuinely canβt think of a legitimate use for these things.
25.02.2026 16:51 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So the BBC promised Davidson and StudioCanal (who made I Swear) that any swearing tics would be edited out from broadcast, and instead they left them in despite a two hour delay, and even put a fucking microphone right in front of him to ensure they picked it up - he was sat at the back of room.

24.02.2026 17:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβm very much not as knowledgeable as Jim, but I can say that VanCity was a huge help to me with navigating this. They have advisors who specifically specialize in finding funds that align with your values in their practices.
24.02.2026 17:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Like if some physicist showed up and said βall of of sociology is bunk and I know betterβ without having any actual knowledge or understanding of the field I think itβd be fair to dismiss them.
People do this to economics CONSTANTLY and weβre all supposed to pretend it isnβt silly for some reason.
I absolutely do believe in them!
And Iβd object to someone leaning on their credentials as a scholar of linguistics or a chemistry while trying to write extremely heterodox and politically charged papers about grain supply dynamics as well.
Then Iβm a bit skeptical of their abilities to analyze the complex dynamics of housing markets.

23.02.2026 20:24 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I think youβre being overly generous, a takeaway here is also that this person isnβt very bright and doesnβt recognize extremely obvious antisemitism (see: βbad geneticsβ)

Hey check out this screenshot in this post where she says βsurrounded by Rothschildsβ. Have you seen this post before?
Oh Jesus Christ

22.02.2026 16:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thereβs very real concerns I know from some indigenous nations, and obviously I wouldnβt want to see those ignored. I was more speaking to the point that βspeeding up mine permittingβ is a very real thing that needs to happen generally.
A lot of the delays arenβt actually for any good reason.
In Ontario? Gold, nickel, copper, platinum group metals. New mining operations are largely looking at critical minerals, I know cobalt has some prospects.
22.02.2026 16:13 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Idk how Ontario is doing it specifically, but a lot of the processes for getting mines approved have become absurd, and havenβt been the changes that have made them safer for the environment or workers.

21.02.2026 08:25 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I really want to see the distributions, but the papers Iβve checked on this donβt seem to show them usually. Iβm curious how much β100% gayβ is throwing off the numbers too.
20.02.2026 17:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That makes sense, the way YouTube works too is odd in that the videos you made a year+ ago are still perfectly good but Iβm sure they get recommended way less
20.02.2026 06:24 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think it kinda makes sense, when it released I was new to it and only had a good time because of your content tbh, if I hadnβt found your videos I wouldnβt have lasted five minutes.
Everyone whoβs played it for a decade has bought it now, it makes sense the reviews would be more mixed.
My guess is that at release it was a ton of diehard fans whoβd played it for years buying it.
And now itβs people buying it, jumping in the deep end, and immediately going βwhat the fuckβ
It'd have been interesting to do this survey with a reward for getting answers right (and also control around participants cheating with that) to try and get people to actually try and be right.
That, and ask respondents what % of Americans own a nuclear submarine or are lizard people as a control.
Maybe I'm at this point being the one refusing to believe the data, but I just deeply struggle to believe that the people answering this survey saying they think 1/3 people is trans, or who thinks a large majority of people in the US are Black or veterans are taking it seriously.
