Today in the Chicago area ICE shot & killed someone and threw Kat Abughazaleh candidate for Congress, on the ground.

Is there a reason Ezra Klein couldn't come to this conclusion and instead had to whitewash and praise Charlie Kirk based on nothing?

Social media has long since been the problem, and the tech-bro-ification of the economy certainly adds to that. Since being politically conscious, Silicon Valley way it went from the new fad of, ostensibly, liberal democrats, to the biggest grifters of all.

Also, if Ezra Klein believed in politics defined by vigorous debate with your opponents, he could come here on Bluesky and confront critics who engage with his ideas.

But he won’t do that, because what he actually believes in is a politics where everyone worships Ezra Klein for his profundity.

Ezra Klein is really out here making it seem like whiteness is some intellectually crippling shit.

As evidenced by the elections Kirk and TPUSA had direct influence in (AZ 2022 gubernatorial), they didn't succeed in bringing youth to the right or really expand their base. But it did do what CPAC did years ago - pushed a more extreme Repub. narrative and incubate a more extremist base.

Absolutely shameful hagiographies of Charlie Kirk by “liberals” like Ezra Klein and Gavin Newson. It’s like Fortuyn all over again.

It is perfectly possible to oppose the killing of people you vehemently and wholeheartedly disagree with.

This guy couldn’t be bothered to say a single word when one of his political allies assassinated the Speaker of the Minnesota House.

Good thread and this is the key argument, which extends to everyone faced with Trump’s illegal EOs and other behavior/demands.
