I read about Hymns A Swingin’ on Soul Strut (the US equivalent of Vinyl Vultures) one evening, then popped into a charity shop on my way to work the next day, and there it was, sitting at the front of the racks! If only that happened every time.

His show has been a pre-record for a long time, he sometimes did sound a bit on autopilot. It’s a shame as, even though he can be a bit annoying, it’s a really good show, great music.

There’s an archive of her work at Sussex university, donated by her partner after her death. I should probably contact them and see it they would like this as well.

Out of a random box of classical records, a personal 78 of lecture materials by Rosey E. Pool. Dutch teacher, Anne Frank’s tutor, nazi escapee, poet and civil rights activist. Also a BBC transcription disc of Gordon Heath folk songs recorded in NL, assume this was also Rosey’s.

Probably a bit late now, but stick them on Facebook marketplace, you’ll get a few quid and someone else can enjoy them.

Bought in the record department of Kenilworth’s bustling Woolie’s, the very heart of the town. I can remember plucking it from the big display of that weeks top 40, and having discussed every record with my sisters, I went with this one.
