221/365: I got sunflowers at the Willow Glen farmers market today, and the lavender smelled so lovely that I had to get a bunch of that as well, Lavender is one of my all-time favorite smells. Don't they look nice together? Purple and yellow are complementary colors.

214/365: I like hanging out in airports and in airport bars. Found a Trader Vic’s near my gate and of course I had to get an original Mai Tai.

212/365: did you know that the Dish Dash locations have different menus? I stopped at Dish'n'Dash in Cupertino for lunch, and noticed they have different sides, so I chose the ones I can't get in Sunnyvale where I usually go: spiced carrots and walnuts, and roasted red pepper dip. Yummy!

211/365: my "WE WON'T GO BACK" bracelet broke, after an almost full year of impeccable service. I'll see if I can fix it. And whether I wear it or not, I will resist the current regime. In somewhat related news, I am wearing my PROTECT TRANS KIDS t-shirt today.

210/365: My friend Kristi came over for dinner last night. I made a roasted beet and fennel salad, and a tomato pie. It had been a couple of months since I had seen her, and lots had happened, so we had much to talk about over our food and sparkling wine.

209/365: time to buy flowers again. It is still July, but I picked the fall colors today. I love those lychee-looking arnge things. What are they called, do you know?

208/365: I bought a mint plant at Trader Joe's a couple of days ago. After having it sit on the kitchen counter, today I gave it a bigger pot with more soil, and a copious amount of water and set it out in the sunshine.

Ha ha ha. So lame.

207/365: yet another meal from a Rainbow Plant Life recipe, Garlicky Sesame Edamame Salad, with red cabbage, shallot, garlic, jalapeños and peanuts. I have a cold, so the spicy food felt extra good.
