You’re a better woman than I. I saw the headline and said, “For the love of Christ!” and went back to my 40 year career of ruining the workplace

And the typical employee of color earns 8 percent less than the typical white employee. Over just a few years that difference can amount to a sizable sum. Women and people of color are significantly underrepresented in the most highly compensated reporting and editing roles in the newsroom. They also tend to be younger, thanks to the recent push to diversify the company. Both factors help drive the overall pay disparities.
After the NYTimes published the op-ed "Did Women Ruin the Workplace?", I remembered that a NYTimes Guild report in 2021 found "Overall, median pay for women was $10,000 less per year than for men, meaning women earned roughly 92 percent of what men earned." nytimesguild.org/papers/2021-...

It is easy for those breakthroughs to be limited and mitigated by pre-existing hierarchies. We need to both see the break throughs and support the structural changes.

I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children.
But I do know that this isn’t sustainable. Abolish ICE. There is no way to reform this.
I am in NJ and am going to a small one tonight, with other grassroots folks. I am nervous, but hopeful. If the worst happens, I’ll be with a group that has been through alot together. Still, I feel like I’m tempting fate.

They’ve had their necks kneeled on.
They’ve been held outside in the rain while in their underwear.
At least three citizens were pregnant when agents detained them.
this is insane.

Another disturbing video out of IL, reported by Block Club Chicago: agents/thugs are seen detaining a man, pressing him to the ground as he gasps, “I can’t breathe.” A crowd quickly forms, begging them to stop.
We are outraged over the use of excessive force in immigration & federal operations.🤬
Number 2 & 3 are flights of voter behavior fancy. Not one to pick these things apart, more inclined to just GOTV until polls close. But that’s weird stuff
