MINNEAPOLIS — Stable Homes, Stable Schools has been a keynote policy for the City of Minneapolis since it was introduced in 2019. Mayor Jacob Frey and Council Members alike have lauded this cross-jurisdictional program that has served children across the city. There’s just one problem: the budget the Mayor released in August is $3.2 million short of funding the program. If Jacob Frey’s budget is passed, Stable Homes, Stable Schools will cease to exist at this time next year. According to Council Member Robin Wonsley’s Ward 2 newsletter: “The Mayor’s staff shared that their current budget will result in the following projected budget shortfalls for Stable Homes Stable Schools: $3.2 in 2026, $4.3M in 2027, and $4.9M in 2028.”

I think we’ve got it. It’s the PAC money and allegiance to the same interests as republicans.

From a friend of mine: someone living in Blaine came to the store she works at and started going on about how “dangerous” Minneapolis is. This store is in Minneapolis.

Person then went on to say “I should get to vote in Minneapolis even though I live in Blaine cuz the socialists have taken over!”🙄

I wish I had even a theory as to why. It seems so easy to make these things a priority in an election year.

He also showed up to the one forum they do care about. The one put on by big business interests, landlords, and developers. So that’s enough for them!

Why isn’t the media asking why our current mayor Isn’t showing up to many forums to answer to voters.
