I am very happy for the momentary reprieve of Bovino's departure. If this proves a slow-down of the brutality, we still cannot stop:

Get the names, show their faces, prosecute every case of misconduct.

Make "abolish ICE" a Dem litmus test.

Reminder that, as of the latest reports, Liam Ramos is still in prison in Texas - now for 5 days.

His parents are legal asylum seekers with no criminal record.

For any elected official who needs to hear this, I impart a lesson learned from the NFL:

We do not know what this means for the rest of their inhumane plan meant to separate families.

That being said, any number of agents leaving Minnesota is thanks to our neighbors who are out on the streets daily. 2/

Dear neighbor, It is not the time to let your guard down, nor is it the time to stop organizing.

While Bovino will be leaving Minneapolis along with some U.S. Border Patrol agents, there is still no specific plan that has been communicated to the public. 1/

The more I think about it, the more I’m convinced the Democrats have to push their hand immediately. The parallels with the delays and subsequent failures after January 6th are blaring warning signs about what will happen if they don’t go after the issues with ICE and CBP at the root RIGHT NOW.

I guess what I’m saying is I appreciate you being focused on holding these “allies” accountable 🫠

One of the things that’s so frustrating is assuming you’re right (not doubting it) our enemies are very dumb and shortsighted, and could be defeated in a straightforward way by a competent Democratic Party — even one whose policies suck.

The officer who shot Alex worked for DHS for 8 years. The officer who shot Renee worked for DHS for over 10 years. Both are considered “highly trained.”

The problem isn’t "training." DHS was built to violate our rights and has been empowered to act with impunity. We must MELT ICE and dismantle DHS.

This is great but means nothing long-term if he isn’t prosecuted. He oversaw public executions, engaged in domestic terrorism and lied about it under oath, etc etc.

If he gets away with it there will be no deterrent for the next guy who tries to do a white nationalist purge.

nothing yet is won. we will celebrate every positive change & know this is still something we are fighting.

To be clear, the demand is:

Get out of Minneapolis
Do not go anywhere else
Disband them
Prosecute all the crimes
