Why waste time and money on extras when you could get straight to the point: put miracle whip on bread and fin, that's all the sandwich you ever need.

I don't talk about it, and likely won't, but I was a writer before parts of my brain went to shit.

I don't talk about it, and likely won't, but I spent a lot of COVID helping a newly disabled person cope and figure out the ropes. Therapy is a luxury in our society that not everyone can afford.

I have worked when able for decades against doctors orders to avoid homelessness. I got into computers so I would have a marketable skill.

If I hadn't become disabled I would have been in a cushy job, with a house, and I would be writing in my spare time.

Sadly it didn't work out that way.

I understand where you are coming from.

I have navigated our social safety net for myself and for someone who became disabled during COVID. It's a nightmare. I want that fixed so people like yourself don't slip through the cracks. That is more my point.

I get your point. I am all for expanding disability supports and who qualifies. I am against non-disabled people getting funding ahead of disabled people.

If they want to and actually will give out a livable UBI for everyone I would be fine with that.

In Ireland and Canada the disabled live below the poverty line.

I am not pitting artists against disabled people. I am advocating that healthy people not get more funding or funding ahead of unhealthy people.

If we can fund both that's great. Otherwise we should apply the triage concept.

I am assuming that is in response to my skeet. 😊

If someone is both they qualify for disability.

I have zero problems with UBI I just don't think it should be taking priority over people with greater need. The idea that artists who aren't disabled are actually getting more is shameful.
