An unspoken challenge of living under occupation is the level of stress in what should be normal work environments due to delays, anxiety and *gestures at everything*.
Everything is impacted by this. So, try to be patient & cool to your coworkers.

Look for the helpers. The rest is just noise.

ICE tactics are 1. going door to door and breaking in without judicial warrants. 2. targeting people who "look illegal" by the color of skin or anything visual. 3. Targeting people who stand up for/help them, including stalking them to their homes using recognition software. /2

For families that are scared to leave their home for fear of snatch and grabs during transit, we've organized personal delivery services for things like food, care products, etc. and the funds are to make sure they don't fall behind on household bills. /1

1st, Help yourselves by organizing micro locally. Not just within your city, but within your neighborhood. I cannot stress enough how focused we are on watches, and delivery services.
And for us? I did this thing for people who are scared to go to work in my own hood.

Nah, man. You're not alone in that. This shit sucks. and forgive yourself enough to dump the guilt. Little moments of joy are necessary to sustain us. Even if they are awkward and don't make rational sense. Laugh, cry, keep doing what you're doing. You rock. Those are normal feels in abnormal times.

True. I think the points, or rather, excuses she made articulated quite the atypical work environment for her position. I'm not excusing her. I'm just amazed at this whole story, and I think her superiors need to be held just as, if not more, responsible.

It isn't insignificant at all, but yes?
The point is the civic engagement. It is an immediate, purely data driven session, in which the current/future reps learn, digest, and begin to espouse the ideas of the people who show up and share their ideas.

I'm no legal expert, so I won't even dare discount your professional opinion on her incompetence, but I think it is worth noting just how incompetent a person can become when sleep deprived. Going round the clock does damage to brain function. I hope she got some rest. Jeezus.

I read those quotes from Elizabeth, and sent them to my family as affirmation of a similar discussion. And it is a lot of us... a whole lot of us "normals" having these talks with our loved ones. The feds might be willing to shoot. But Minnesotans are ready to die.
And that is a huge difference.
