Yes. Run slow. I train for 5k- 10k- half marathons- to be competitive. A majority of my runs are where I can hold a conversation while running. This is a “recovery” pace and it will eventually improve. I used to be a “run hard every day” but that’s actually bad.

Same for running. Investing in proper gear was a game changer for me and I can assure you very few people dislike cold weather more than I do. (Arizona’s native).

Trust your training process. Hard work was already put in. I find planning on the logistics outside of training helps. (Transportation , what I’m wearing, diet/hydration leading up to race day ect) maybe a running podcast. Good luck.

It wasn’t something learned in a classroom. College is a journey. you meet people who are different from yourself. Maybe you need to meet more people. You can hold both beliefs 1. Religion out of government. 2. A person of faith can be smarter than you.

I used to believe this in my 20s then my journey through school proved otherwise. I realized I was being obtuse and creating a false dichotomy. There are brilliant people who are religious just as there are dumb people who are non believers.

Daily activities favor port as well. Showering you have to wrap picc. Kids can’t hide a picc if they like t-shirts. Skin irritation from always having a bandage on arm trapping moisture. Sorry, I forgot to add reasons the patient would prefer. Picc advantage: no need sticks as long as it’s working

Chemo RNs prefer port. Less complications/lower risk for infection. No need for weekly dressing changes where bacteria can be introduced.
