Sad to hear of the death of Tom Lehrer - his songs provided the backing track for an archaeological field season many years ago. But thankful he put all his songs - lyrics and recordings - into the public domain tomlehrersongs.com or via the Internet Archive ...

The trouble is that we have a bad habit, encouraged by pedants and sophisticates, of considering happiness as something rather stupid. Only pain is intellectual, only evil interesting.

In the upper right corner, a black and white image of the Wikipedia puzzle globe. Centered on the image is the text: What Wikipedia can teach us about truth, information, and random trivia. The Colin McEnroe Show, Connecticut Public.
βThe goal of Wikipedia since the very beginning has been to be a free encyclopedia for the whole world β to provide knowledge to every person on the planet.β Quote by Stephen Harrison, writer, author of "The Editors".
βIf you have that many people working together and all checking one another and using strong references, the result you get is really quite rigorous.β Quote by Amy Bruckman, Regents Professor in the School of Interactive Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
βI was in all these rabbit holes, and learning about things that I had never even imagined. It made my world feel so big, and it made me feel excited. I have not stopped posting about Wikipedia. Since then, I've gotten a lot more into editing. And now I'm really passionate about so many aspects of the site.β Quote by Annie Rauwerda, creator of Depths of Wikipedia.
