NYT uses this "is said to be language" fairly regularly, and while I feel like it is a fairly new thing (within the past few years), it seems like it often is deployed when something is about to be announced, such as in this story about the destruction of the Department of Education.

"Aldrich Ames is 84 years old and has spent DECADES in prison paying for crimes that were actually committed by the traitors in the Deep State! As a result today I have granted him a FULL and UNCONDITIONAL PARDON. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"

Neither of these things is true. Judges can't be removed from office by other judges, but they can be suspended, they can not be assigned new cases, and their existing cases can be reassigned,

Yeah, I'm not saying this is a hard stop on this idea, but neither is it a permanently reliable fix.

The problem with this is that conservative judges are happy to find bullshit reasons that these laws are unconstitutional or can't be applied for some other reason.
