When I say that terfism has, as one of its core tenets, the belief that trans people didn't exist before about 2012, it sounds like a joke, but it's literally true. Nothing makes sense without that underlying, trivially false principle.

One of the many bizarre aspects of the last few years of the UK's trans panic has been the apparent inability of anyone making decisions to remember that there are already laws in place that address the existence of and provision for gender reassignment.

A member of Congress just filled out a threat report with the Capitol Police naming the President of the United States as the person making the threat.
