I really dug his work on American Splendor.

It's like how 10cc's "Rubber Bullets" sounds like a fun Beach Boys song, yet it's about police brutality enacted upon convicts who try to have a party at a prison to relieve tension and enjoy themselves ("I love to hear those convicts squel, It's a shame these slugs ain't real").

It'd be more unnerving than something more somber 'cause, like, he *won* and saw it as a good thing - there's no better contrast than an upbeat song to contrast against something truly tragic.

Like, I do bear grudges against certain people, but it'd never extend past just remembering the negative experience with them - going further than that just isn't healthy or productive. To stalk and dox them would say far more about me, none of it good, than them as they go about their lives.

I'd ask who it is but, at the same time, I don't think they deserve such individualization. They're all part of the same cancerous mass that's developed online due to how much it cultivates obsessive behavior rather than just, y'know, moving the fuck on like a normal person.

I know, but it's hard for me to still not find it to be creepy shit.

Maybe it's just 'cause, unlike them, I actually try to respect people's boundaries and think that's the behavior of an unhinged stalker...

Like, her role as Wednesday Addams is *iconic* (it's why, during my much younger days, along with Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz, I've developed a fondness for Goth Chicks), but Jenna Ortega has managed to rival it quite well - even if the series itself wasn't exactly...good.

I don't have that, at the moment, but I'm thinking of canceling my subscription to Paramount+ soon and switching elsewhere, if only to catch up on some shows only available on that streaming service.

I know he comes off as some media illiterate dumbass - and he might be - but it's obvious, as a protege of Andrew Breitbart (may he rest in piss), he views entertainment as a tool of propaganda. He doesn't "review" movies to analyze them as much as a vehicle for his vapid political commentary.

Even if he *did* watch them, and perhaps even *like* them, he'd never talk about a film or series' based on its merits when it comes to direction, acting, writing, etc. as much as he mines the material to argue about how "woke" it all is while purposefully ignoring certain inconvenient details.

Admittedly, I think trying to "debunk" Ben Shapiro's reviews of movies and series - at this point - has gotten kind of dull. Not because there aren't a lot of problems to point out (there *are*), but it's pretty obvious he doesn't base it on anything *in* them. They're just Culture War fodder.

I'm totally getting the same vibes as that US box art for Megaman on the NES...
