Awesome. Some folks shared the video and said “it’s a banger.” I had some idea of where it was going but did not expect you to be so direct. I really appreciate it. I’m very politically active but still messages like this are a powerful remind that there’s other folks in the fight. God speed.

The argument around Will has been focused around whether or not getting the press involved helps. Getting the AP, Italian Public Media, Economist etc on ride alongs has been hugely impactful. We need to amplify voices to fight Trump. Immigrants can hide - that’s ok. Citizens need to show up.

I get there are immigrants already hiding but US citizens should use their privilege to get out there and make their voices heard and not hide. It’s nice to see folks like Will out there fighting day to day for their neighbors and amplifying the message via press like The Economist.

And a lot of the narrative resembles what we see day to day with like people afraid to donate or protest because of the govt. There may be a point where we need be hide but it’s not now and getting our voice out helps avert the chance of that future happening.

Like they're gonna get tons of death threats and have to change numbers etc. We should be paying them to help out.

The media had portrayed Homan and ICE as pushing for deporting immigrants with criminal records (basically doing the traditional role but 10x). Miller/Bovino/Noem pushed for CECOT/City deployments. A couple months ago the latter won out and replaced ICE leadership. So that’s the background.

I wish it were messaged like that however because it sounds like sheriff just wants to rotate out. Crowd control isn’t popular but there’s zero reason to cede that to feds. Watching feds occupy an intersection and shoot at people for sport for hours today was insane.

It’s nuts seeing who rises to the moment and who doesn’t.

Also one of the arguments for high ready is yea speed, as people move out you can just lower your gun. Another is if someone tries to grab your gun you can back up and engage them. Low ready means your gun can easily neutralized (shoved against body). TOTALLY NOT RELEVANT HERE tho

My view is the whole suppressor vs high ready debate misses the forest for the trees. You don’t need an assault force to get an old dude for an immigration charge in the first place.

I’ll nitpick, it’s called high ready and while some teams use low ready for CQB, my understanding is high ready is standard at least across special forces. Source: I was invited to a military CQB training exercise with NSW trainers. Main issue is even using an assault force here.

Like this was a unit I had previously flagged as likely to be involved in an invasion. I put a note that mobilizing this unit is an indicator and while the messaging is about MN, that indicator has been met.

Yea the goal here isn’t to defeat a full US invasion force but the close off the idea of a “cheap shot.” Trump is high on the Maduro raid and his Soleimani success. He likely also thinks he defeated the Iran nuke program w/10 bombs. Eliminate the idea he can take Greenland with no cost.

Also, while interesting to guess the plane, the bigger question IMO is if they used this asset because it was based at a foreign country that wants to conceal cooperation. I don't get the perfidy line because folks aren't going to id if a plane is armed. But foreign involvement would b interesting.

One more fact, if transmitting in Mode S, the plane would be transmitting but often not detected on flight trackers.

When the NYT linked that I preemptively dismissed things. Modifying a 737 to fire concealed munitions is just wack (someones mentioned the P8 has lots of mods for pressurization) and if a 737 descended to a boat I think it'd freak folks out.

I jumped for 427th because folks waiving at a civilian plane made me think of some sketchy civilian colored turboprop. A 737 swooping down to circle folks seems so out of the ordinary that I’d assume folks would think it’s government.

In another forum we were speculating on the type. I thought it was some 427th shit. But someone with more knowledge shared rumor is it’s a P8 and folks just misidentified it + the article was sloppy.

I think people are just bad at using AI like someone googling and citing random websites. It is funny that when I just queried GPT5.2 Thinking it brought up false online claims! The result of the results I get are pretty normal (discussing the impact of the statement, how it intimidates etc)
