Feds Used Chemical Agents Dozens of Times in Chicago An investigation by reporters from six newsrooms found that agents used chemical irritants nearly 50 times during Operation Midway Blitz.

Several Chicago newsrooms spent two months collecting and analyzing evidence of ICE & Border Patrol's use of tear gas and pepper spray in Chicago.

They found that agents deployed chemical agents nearly 50 times. Most uses occurred after a judge ordered federal agents to restrict their use.

People believe grocery delivery drivers are being targeted and are asking folks to alert other vulnerable workers as well.

A fall morning in Chicago now: biking down Lawrence through Albany Park, which looks like a relative ghost town compared to its usual foot traffic, watching as street vendors scramble to pack up and flee because ICE just grabbed someone. Folks screaming and whistling at every intersection.

To monitor license plate violations, the secretary of state's office has established a "Plate Watch Hotline" where residents can report potential violations, which the secretary of state's office will then investigate, it says. Reports can be made by calling the hotline at 312-814-1730 or emailing platewatch@ilsos.gov. "No one, including federal agents, is above the law, and we intend to hold them accountable, especially while driving on our roadways," Giannoulias said in the news release. According to rapid response, feds have grabbed one person from the Addison/Kimball Home Depot this morning. Several people detained in Back of the Yards as well, still all over the area. They've also returned to Carpentersville this morning, and were seen near an elementary school there.
