What is it with kids and popcorn! I ran the popcorn stall at my son’s summer festival last year and it was so popular we had to give people free kakigori to go to another stall and give us a break lol

Even more innocuous and mundane than that! No ass was actually involved! First two sounds in my son’s name + papa. Apparently it’s a common nickname kids use for other kids’ parents! I had no idea!

Due to a very mundane and innocuous reason I have nevertheless gained the unfortunate nickname “Ass Papa” amongst my son’s friends

Got my BJJ blue belt yesterday!

A movie review assignment. Student has asked a chatbot to write it, and then has, mind-bogglingly, copied out the entire response, including the “If you would like to express your thoughts on Godzilla Minus One in English, you could say something like…” part designed especially so that students don’t do it.

I’m honestly ready to give up at this point. Student gets two points, one for submitting and one for at least writing in English.

I’m marking students’ writing assignments and something I’ve noticed is that about 80% are now capitalising “It” in the middle of sentences. I’m blaming the clown movie

Unfortunately we’ve only had one this year! We used to get a dozen or so. Climate change 😭 swallowtail caterpillars also like to mimic snakes to ward off predators! Truly fascinating little creatures.

Despite this they do like to keep their area clean because their poo pellets give away their location to predators. So if they come across a poo they’ll pick it up and flick it away! Quite adorable!
