Get a taste of a Taiwan night market at this upcoming Seattle festival The two-day So Taiwaneasy festival, with food vendors, music and activities, takes place Aug. 9-10.

Waterfront Park is quietly becoming the place to be on Seattle’s waterfront.

Loving the pilot programs and pop-up experiments. They’re not afraid to test, iterate, & see what sticks.

Can’t wait to check out Taiwaneasy on Pier 58 next month. 🌏 🇹🇼

Pleasantly surprised by Quincy Square in Bremerton — a chill, pedestrian-only street that proves you don’t need to be a big city to dream big.

Every town deserves vibrant, people-first spaces to gather, shop, and celebrate local life.

This U.S. City Was Just Named the Most Walkable—and You Can See Its Top Sites in 30 Minutes A new index ranks a Pacific Northwest city No. 1 for walkability—thanks to short distances, low elevation, and major sights.

Yes there are hills. Yes your calves will feel it.

But also yes: you’ll get the views, the vibes, and a ferry ride if you time it right. ⛴️

Transit helps. Link + a good pair of shoes = full weekend unlocked.

Seattle got named the most walkable city in the U.S. and honestly?

Some parts check out.

From the waterfront to the Seattle Center, you can hit the city’s biggest sights in like 30 mins. Pike Place, the Needle, MoPOP — all walkable.

Letting go of those relationships has been painful, but necessary.

Auditing your life can be a steep learning curve—but when you make space for the right people, it’s worth it.

Some of the hardest moments came from navigating homophobia amplified by culture, race, and religion—spaces where I was expected to shrink myself in order to be accepted.

Those words landed deeply—especially after a yr of distancing myself from people who shamed me for trying to live a joyful, open, and authentic life.

Two friends left Seattle this week, and I’ve been sitting with the quiet grief of losing more community here.

Before they left, they shared something that’s stuck with me:

“Thank you for being a good friend. You’re an amazing person.”

“Thank you for showing up authentically and being supportive.”

A map of Safe Streets for All projects across Seattle. The text says: We are building neighborhood-scale safety upgrades at over 80 locations by 2030. These Safe Streets for All projects will provide safer options for you to walk, bike, roll, or get to transit. They will improve safety for people with disabilities or other mobility needs. They also give you more space when you’re walking or riding a bike and help you cross the street more safely. Building these projects supports our Vision Zero goal to eliminate traffic deaths and serious injuries by 2030.

Bounced back from rejection today.

Yesterday: cried for a bit, sulked, saw Fantastic Four, took myself out to dinner.

Today: got up, got to work, and looking fwd to time w/friends this wkd.

Life is a roller coaster — the ups & downs make the ride worth it. 🎢

Fall down 7 times, stand up 8.

Can we start normalizing “Link” instead of always saying “Link Light Rail”?

It’s a mouthful to say both the system’s brand and its technology type every time.

For most people, a train is a train — the simpler the language, the more likely people are to use it and talk about it.

Dow isn't on the ballot for King County executive. Who will you vote for now? The two County Council members, both progressive Democrats, are facing off in the first open race for county executive since 2009.

The Seattle area is spoiled with strong candidates for King County Executive.

Both Claudia Balducci and Girmay Zahilay would bring thoughtful leadership to the role. Looking forward to seeing this race really take shape after the primary.

How to handle this weekend’s I-5 closure in Seattle Using public transit and alternate routes are the best bets for avoiding traffic, or the stress of driving, through Seattle this weekend, officials said.

Loving the tone of this piece. What is the best way to beat traffic during this weekend’s Revive I-5 closure?

Take transit.

We need more messaging like this all year.

Seattle’s transit and bike networks are growing; now is the time to use them.

Lake Washington Boulevard deserves its own Friends of the Waterfront Park—an org that can bring consistent funding, creative energy, and vibrant programming to this iconic stretch of nature in South Seattle.

With the right stewardship, LWB could become the city’s next great linear park.

How is Pike Place’s limited car access being managed?

Cones. A sign. One security guard.

It’s a reminder: pilot projects don’t need fancy gear or endless studies.

Just try something. Learn. Improve. Scale. Repeat.
