Not easy to find Vanna's Choice in the UK :) I am generally ok with superwash merio and socks, as long as I don't wear them all day and without other socks in between (I can maybe do 2 straight days, but not often 3!) so a bit like you. For a jumper, maybe 15% wool or under but even 17% is a NO

{sigh} It sucks when you love knitting but wool next to your skin causes a very bad reaction and lots of itching. Cashmere, merino, it all itches. Tell me the best animal fibre yarn to try to see if I tolerate it - yak? alpaca? camel??

Recently knitted some DK weight socks and it was a surprise that I loved them. These look nice and thick and warm too. Off to check the pattern even though labelled "worsted" can be rare as hen's teeth here - in the UK, Aran is sometimes similar but not for sure.
