Per scanner the fire at the El Segundo refinery is out, they are flaring residual pressure. Releasing most of the fire units.

It’s crazy, I was home and didn’t ever hear it and I’m on the south side of town. Everyone else said it sounded like a huge bomb went off.

The entire refinery didn’t “blow up”. A big piece of equipment did, but it was in one part of a 1000 acre plant. It’s bad and could be really dangerous but right now it’s under control.

To act like there is imminent danger right now. I’m going to trust my local authorities that are saying it’s under control and no need to evacuate or mask inside.
