I have made it this far in life as a man and never seen monitors over urinals.

I’m halfway (actually much farther probably) to dead and upset that streak has been spoiled.

The bag my neighbors kid came back with seemed to be 50% peanut butter stuff.

That’s good for not Thanksgiving. But I don’t want the “juiciest turkey breast” for an actual Thanksgiving dinner. To me, Thanksgiving turkey should be a little dry because I’m going to be eating it under a bunch of wet stuff.

But the rest of the year this is indeed superior.

I am intrigued to learn of the possibilities I’ve never considered.

That’s fine. But we don’t think it is. Nothings hidden; if there was a need to know we would.

We have friends on common. But we also have friends the other isn’t involved in. And to the original point, that’s just the way it is for us. No feeling that anything is “wrong” with it.

It’s fine. Just how it was/is.

Relatively distinct spheres of life with not a lot of bleed through of one to the other. My parents had their parenting life and their non-parenting life and they didn’t interact much.

I’m still same way. My wife has friends of her own. I vaguely know who they are.

Not my home. I’ve had many visit from elsewhere but they still don’t come to my home (and I rarely go to anybody else’s outside of larger parties).

But I see them where we end up seeing other. Or online. The vast majority of my friends live nowhere near me.

Probably. But as a 10 year old why would my mom be going deep about her friendships with me such that I’d know how any one of them stacks against the others? And why would I spend any brain space on remembering adults I’d never met.

That thing of adults going and visiting other adults in their homes for something other than some large occasion is very weird to me.

I have good friends that I see regularly. But I haven’t had a friend visit me at home in almost 20 years.

Home is where other people (than my wife) aren’t.

It has never occurred to me I should.

Well it got easier when I was an adult and live thousands of miles away and I have no idea what she does with her time.

But as kids, adults socializing was not something that happened at home and we didn’t go with them when they did it elsewhere.

Yeah, my immediate reaction was “why would I know who my mom’s best friends were?” I don’t know that I ever met them let alone their children.

Every hot desk place I’ve worked in everybody still sits in the same desks every day 90% of the time.

I like it for my current job because it lets me bounce around the 33 floors and go weeks without seeing the same people (my job doesn’t actually require working with anybody in the building).

I get the joke but that’s what trading floors have looked like for a long time. The monitors are bigger now.

I hate open floor but when I was at Chase the spaces I was in had the better examples of it that I’ve experienced. Curious if that changes in the new building (for non trading floors).

Completely unrelated but can you pass on to the marketing department that one of my current favorite parts of the show is being supported by “Pete and Jerry’s Eggs.”

Because, for some reason, the very first time it is said in a read I hear “Pee in Jerry’s Eggs.” Immediately ready to be entertained.

Not going to wade into the discourse because I don’t need to be disappointed in humanity for not unanimously replying “orzo”.

While it may make it easier to strike down other gun laws maintaining it also possibly makes it easier to curtail other rights for drug use. All for getting rid of 2nd amendment/private gun ownership. But don’t think it follows that therefore any restriction on gun ownership is a good restriction.

I need to read more on the case but my initial reaction is to not think of it so much striking down a gun law as striking down a drug law.

But I’m probably wrong.

I often felt the same way. Then after a filling last year my answer was an emphatic “no!” Couldn’t articulate what was off but something was. She did something for a couple minutes and then it was fine.
