He’s more interested in sniffing the corner flag than watching the tactical battle on the pitch.. no doubt many dogs have peed on this flag before, hence the attraction.

Sunday morning cricket.. the sun’s shining & the dog’s happy. 15 minutes cricket then off to the football pitches for some summer football.

Out shopping in the town centre & came across some Indian Bhangra music/dancers..great to see some locals joining in..

Found some Sunday morning entertainment after the disappointment of the cricket being washed off. Not sure the dog is too impressed though..🤔

The covers are on.. the dog’s Sunday morning has been ruined.

No cricket today.. rained off. The dog’s not happy so onto the next field to watch some Sunday League football.

If you ever go to Castleton in the Peak District, try this Sandwich shop called Peveril Stores in the town centre. Bought a NY deli sandwich on a huge roll for £5.45. Large choice of butties all reasonably priced & made to order. A tourist spot..not overcharging & great quality food.

The dog is such a lucky beast. On Saturday & Sunday he takes in the wonders of both cricket & Sunday League football. I prefer a brisk 10 mile walk 🤥 but he’s content to watch his local sporting heroes.

One of the cricket dads came over to tell me something about the ball not bouncing as it should do, hence the loss of 2 wickets. I haven’t a clue but nodded accordingly. He must think I’m one of the families watching the game.🤷

He’s done it again.. pulled me over to watch some cricket..looks like some kids are playing. Two wickets down in 4 balls🏏

The dog dragged me over to the cricket pitch to watch Gary Sobers & Clive Lloyd battle against Geoff Boycott, Ray Illingworth, Derek Underwood & Tony Grieg. He might be disappointed when the teams come out..

The dog up on Man Tor today close to Castleton in the Peak District..another day up in t’hills.

At long last some cloudy overcast weather to walk the dog. Still hot & humid but no red hot sunshine.🌨️

The dog taking in the scenery at Ullswater yesterday.. I wandered lonely as a cloud so where’s my doggy ice cream..🍦🍦🍦

I imagine it looks fairly Norwegian too (if it had some snow).. It’s up the M6 from Manchester, the first lake of the Lake District. The ice creams were amazing as were the views..the dog loved it!

A day trip with the dog to Ullswater today.. very nice it was too, not too hot & not too busy. Delicious ice creams 🍦🍦🍦

Looking forward to Tuesday to cool down a little.. just 62 degrees, I can live with that.

Had an afternoon at Dovestone Reservoir today.. a 2.5 mile trek around the water. Very nice but feeling the after affects now..

Took the dog out this morning & both of us needed a rest half way.. soooooo hot🌞

Watched 4 overs of the cricket (dog was tired & lay on the grass)..batsmen hit the ball once (in 4 overs), 3 maiden overs, the two batters one was left handed & the other right handed so changes of field etc, one wicket fell & the players very vocal but spectators in the bar🍻

I’m not a big fan of cricket but it’s a great place to walk a lazy dog who prefers lying on the grass rather than running around chasing a tennis ball.🏏🥱🏏

Nwaneri needs to get into this final & grab a goal or two. He’s a huge name compared to the others but he’s been very quiet so far.
