In TNG s3e10 "The Defector," we get one of the great viewscreen throwdowns between Captain Picard and Romulan Commander Tomalak, played with deliciousness by the always great Andreas Katsulas. Always good to see these two characters spar.

Star Trek has always had great music, but the scores to "The Motion Picture" and "First Contact" stand out. TMP for its iconic theme and for the soaring music accompanying the Enterprise flyby. FC for its beautiful theme - perhaps my favorite in all Trek.

Two characters whose first names came way too late in the narratives of those characters...Miles O'Brien and Hikaru Sulu.

I couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old and my parents were watching in syndication in the early 1970s. I remember it so vividly because the whole Losira disappearing effect and the creepy musical accompaniment was just terrifying to me!
