What are your experiences of being asked in healthcare about your employment status as a pt?
Does it always feel necessary?
Do you feel directly or silently judged if you're unemployed?
Do you feel it impacts on your care if you are unemployed/in receipt of benefits?

Anything that helps a disabled person navigate life more easily & with fewer barriers is an accessibility aid.

Including dishwashers, shower chairs, safe housing, no strings attached money & doing away with asset limits & benefits cliffs.

Everyone deserves these things, period.

Five survivors of Rotherham grooming gangs say they were also raped by police officers Three former South Yorkshire police officers arrested in investigation into claims by the women, as young as 12 at the time

As I said on day one, the first day that the Times broke the story about the gangs: the idea that the police were too petrified to investigate sexual offences by Asian men because they might be perceived as racist did not pass *the laugh test*, never mind the smell test.

Those who haven’t experienced it, have no idea how hard it can be to do.

On today’s Hall of Shame, we have Debbie Abrahams, Labour MP for Oldham East and Saddleworth.

She raised strong objections to the UC Bill, yet she voted to send the bill through its third reading.

Shame on you.

If the government really want to make people's mental health better, they could start by making things less shit.

Scandalous that this research into the financial hardship faced by disabled people was available, but not published before the welfare bill was voted on!!

Shocking statistics contained within. And now disabled people have been made even poorer by this Government!

Many of us knew if labour & their dog whistle politics of 'working families' got into power that disabled people would be thrown under the bus, but the speed & scope of all this is terrifying.

The motability/ tax checking website was a tipping point for me. I am scared once more to go out alone.

Disinformation spread online, including from MPs, is having serious consequences offline.

Social media companies are profiting from amplifying racist hate.

It’s not enough to condemn racist violence: we need to name where it comes from and who profits from it.
