Yep. To be completely fair, by the end of the commute it was probably about 70/30 with/without lights. And there were some fancy pants road bikes lit up like Christmas trees.

I sispect they would "ruin the aero"....

A fair few tonight did not even have the fixings for them. So perhaps not even a case of "I forgot".

Can afford a £10k road bike. Cannot afford lights. Or do lights "ruin tbe aero"? Eejits.

Got passes by at least 15 men on seriously fancy road bikes this evening. Not a light to be seen.

Ironically, a decent number of the delivery riders now have them (on their illegally modded "bikes")....

A gentle reminder to my.fellow cyclists that lights are a legal requirement during the hours of darkness, even if you're "just riding in the cycle lanes". White on the front, red on the rear. And if you join @londoncycling.bsky.social you can get free lights!
