A point I’ve been making a lot is that the tariffs are 1) the policy most personally important to Trump 2) the least popular policy with the American people according to polling 3) substantively destructive and incoherent 4) genuinely opposed by large swaths of conservative constituencies.

It's not a new observation, but I'm always struck listening to Trump cry and whine about how he's the victim, bitch and moan about how mean and unfair everyone is to him, brag endlessly about how great he is and how unfair it all is, to remember that his cult thinks he's the Peak Alpha Male

Haven’t actually read his dissent yet but this strikes me as almost certainly correct. :)

This is right: I think you will rein in Trump's bullshit best by destroying the unlawful businesses that the sons sold the Presidency on.

The big practical point for the tariffs opinion, set out at the end of §1A, is that Trump has had time to transfer the tariff programs to other sources of authority that the Court does not address.

Remember: Tariffs aren't paid by other countries.

They're eventually paid by us at the check out line.

It's up to us to make sure Trump and MAGA Republicans pay for them during the midterms, too.
