The sounds are all discrete analog circuits triggered by the game logic; the game logic is all discrete circuits, there is no processor and there is no software. The game has a single ROM for the tank and score graphics, everything else is just a huge state machine that plays Tank.

The game is mostly working correctly. The blank tank's motor noise is broken (mostly just sounds like a clicking noise) and the white tank's controls aren't quite right.

The logic board has a modification that switches between the two maps in the ROM every time a tank explodes, thus adding minutes of replay value!

Tonight, In an attempt to distract myself from our grim meathook present I finally installed the monitor I got for my Tank II arcade cab over two years ago. And hey, it’s mostly working!
