Yeah ours isn't in the best location either. I moved it to accommodate pogies and never moved it back.

We have 4 of these bells we like them so much, some work better than others. The one on the UA is probably the best of the lot, luckily.

Try a little masking tape on the treads for the top of the bell. You can't tighten it all the way down or it won't ring well. The tape helps add some friction to the threads.

So about a frequency of one every 15 minutes around the clock.

By the same logic should they close all those roads in the red area?

Those places probably also have 30 km/h speed limits, but those seem to be impossible here for... reasons. That setup would probably be fine for an experienced rider but for a new riding poking along at 10-15 km/h that seems pretty uncomfortable.

She really wishes everyone on a bike would just hurry up and get a car already.

I timed roughly timed my last run to the grocery store by bike to retrieve a single item and the return trip was about 8 minutes. I'm pretty sure if I had taken my car it would have been at least that long just to get there.

Imagine being enraged because you're slowed down by a group of children riding their bikes on a neighborhood street with their adults surrounding them ensuring that they're safe from drivers.

Oh man! It's been my experience too, eye contact is just permission for them to just pass on by.

Not local, but at least not American. The Guinness 0 is one of the better ones I've had and seem easy to find at the grocery stores these days.

Ramen pack: Neoguri mild seafood flavour

That's one of favourites too! Good spice level.. Neoguri mild seafood is another one of our favourites, there's a fun little surprise in the dehydrated veggie packet too. The noodles in this one are also really great. The seafood flavour is mostly just from the kombu, so it's fairly subtle.

The hill is steep but, it wasn't bad going doing but a bit of a grunt getting up, you can always just get the kids to hop off and walk up the hill if you're not feeling it though. There were also a few spots especially under the bridge where the ground was pretty soft, likely a spring thing.

Scoped it out for myself on the GSD. It wasn't too bad aside from the snow. Also lucked out with a beautiful sunset.

This might be doable, would be worth checking out a head of time. I did it a few years ago on my commuter bike. Maybe someone who's been through there recently can add to this.

The main issue with not having dedicated space for bikes is that it's less likely to be comfortable for people to use with children on their own bikes. Especially since Halifax seems to be allergic to 30 km/h speed limits.

I'm pretty sure that's not a turn lane but a nice wide bike lane that's currently poorly labeled and not protected.

I saw a trio of sidewalk plows out today around Windsor Street. An ice crusher followed by two different plows. There's probably not enough of them but hopefully they'll make their rounds. They should just be plowing sidewalks while the storms are happening like they do with the roads.

It was great to see the common's paths, rainnie, and hollis we clear of snow and ice like the streets that surround them... except they weren't, instead they were completely untouched.
