Nature security assessment on global biodiversity loss, ecosystem collapse and national security
This strategic assessment explores how global biodiversity loss and the collapse of critical ecosystems could affect the UKβs resilience, security and prosperity.
This week, Govt quietly published a 'Global biodiversity loss, ecosystem collapse and national security assessment' after an FOI forced their hand.
It is a deeply concerning read for anyone who cares about our future.

Vision 2035: Critical Minerals Strategy
Minister @chrismcdonaldmp.bsky.social has taken a major step forward with Vision 2035, recognising that minerals in the UKβs products and infrastructure are as important as those still in the ground.
The Strategy aims for 20% of total annual UK demand to be met through recycling by 2035.

Earlier this year we set out six steps to kickstart the circular economy.
Critical minerals are an obvious step: they are crucial for resilience, the UKβs geological reserves are highly limited, and their supply chains are often destructive.
